What’s the difference between living on campus rather than just commuting? There’s more to it than just saving money but more on how it affects a student’s academic and social life. Read these articles to expand your knowledge on what the difference between these two are. when being a first year student.
Read the article, “Is there still a considerable difference? Comparing residential and commute…..” and annotate it with Hypothes.is.
Write a summary of the article and then answer these three questions:
- What are the most significant advantages when being a resident rather than a commuter?
- Personally, what have you learned or gained from being a resident or a commuter?
- If you had to give advice to an incoming freshman about being or resident or commuter which one would you suggest they do?
Assignment 2
Many kids go in to college and don’t know what to expect when they decide to dorm. It’s nice to be able to have other students opinions about what they’re experience is, so they understand what they are getting themselves into before it happens.
