Findings

In the following sections, the richness and complexity of the grantees’ engagement with the Equity Through OER Rubric is synthesized and organized along the following themes:

  1. Evidence and Impact
  2. Engagement and Shared Responsibility
  3. Institutional Capacity
  4. Student Experience and Agency
  5. Collaboration and Community Building

The findings and learning in the sections that follow summarize and synthesize the grantee experiences with the Rubric in the context of their distinct institutions and roles, as well as recommendations for improvements that will strengthen the Rubric. Equally important, the findings emphasize that the self-assessment process of engaging with the Rubric is doing the work to advance equity in ways that advance quality and effectiveness of institutional practice and educational delivery with the goals of removing barriers to student success and closing gaps in student outcomes.
